Lanier, Jaron Jaron Lanier an eclectic mix of computer programmer, inventor, musician, and artist. He is probably best known as a pioneer of Virtual Reality. He coined the term virtual reality. In the early 1980's he co-developed the first glove device for virtual world interaction and was the first to study full hand interactions with virtual objects. |

Lingo Lingo is an animation Scripting language. A scripting language is a high level programming or command language that is interpreted instantaneously rather than being compiled ahead of time. Lingo can be scripted for a general programs or a specific type of application. It can be very complex or very basic and simple. |

Jeff Rashkin, author of "The Humane Interface," suggests that computers should come with standard features that function the same way on every computer.
