A Brief History
Auto CAD was developed in the 1980’s by Autodesk (of Marin Software Partners). It started as a decentralized group of programmers who sought out to, “develop and market software packages, primarily application but also system, for popular mass-market computer systems, including, but not limited to, CP/M, IBM 8086 DOS, and Unix System III.” [3]
