Return to Prof. Billington's home page MGMT 311 for Pueblo On-campus classroom students Day Sections only - Fall 2008
Fall 2008 students, please read textbook note: Text (new available in the CSU-Pueblo bookstore, Amazon.com, and other on-line sellers; used copies may become available by fall): New 9th edition of the textbook was used in the Spring 2008 semester. Operations Management, 9th ed., Jay Heizer and Barry Render, Prentice-Hall, 2008. ISBN 0138128782.
Last spring we used the 8th edition, which may work. There are some changes, including some homework problems that are missing. The syllabus will contain corresponding pages for the 8th edition hardbound and the 8th International edition (which is also missing some homework problems).
Be careful buying used on-line: do not buy the Flexible Version with 2 separate books (or sometimes just 1 book). We do not use the CD, so a book without the CD will work. You can get the additional information from the text on reserve in the library.
All supplemental material such as PowerPoint slides, class lecture notes and homework solutions are now posted on the course BlackBoard site. The PowerPoint slides and Package of graphs and charts can be bought at the Copy Center in the bookstore. They are not on the bookstore shelves with the text, but in the Copy Center. Please update your email in Blackboard to an email account that you check regularly. To do this: 1. Click on Tools on the left panel. 2. Click on Personal Information 3. Click on Edit Personal Information 4. Change the email address field. Click Submit 5. While you are in the Tools and Personal Information section, change your Password. If you are not familiar with how to access Blackboard, here are the instructions. If you are enrolled in the course, you should be able to log in. Click here to access Blackboard.
