AskColorado Committees: Making It Work

The scope of AskColorado’s vision requires the oversight of several administrative committees. The current committee hierarchy is:

Steering – creates timetables, regulates task management and controls collaboration and implementation of the service.
CVRREPS – consists of 1 member from each participating library system, who acts as a liaison between the AskColorado consortium and their own system.
Quality Assurance and Evaluation – maintains high standards for reference service by acquiring and analyzing feedback, recommending best practices and reviewing transcripts of staff-patron interactions.
Policies and Procedures – establishes 'best practices' for the overall reference service; handles logistics and addresses copyright and proprietary database issues; ensures that participating library systems have followed through with participation requirements; and, oversees the content and design of the Ask Colorado public website.
Marketing and Public Relations – promotes AskColorado in the media and through other means.

Additionally, ad hoc committees are formed and given a charge by the Steering Committee as needed.
