Jude DePalma Ph.D. is a tenured Associate Professor. He has over 10 years experience teaching in the Engineering program and in Electronics Engineering Technology . Professor DePalma received his BSEE from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, his MSEE, from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. He has  experience in teaching beginning circuit analysis, electronics, digital logic, microcontrollers and senior project.

Professor DePalma's research interests lie in biomedical engineering. He has developed a small, handheld heart monitor and done advance modeling/spectral analysis of evoked potential signals.

He received a summer faculty fellowship from NASA and has worked for four summers developing a new  PC based electrocardiograph. This new heart monitor is better at detecting coronary ischemia than a conventional electrocardiograph. The electrocardiograph has undergone clinical trials and the results have been published in the Mayo Clinic Proceedings.  Also, a patent has been applied for on the new electrocardiograph.
