Rediker Questions

1.  How is the book organized?  Is it organized at all?

2.  What does Rediker mean by calling his work a "human" history?  What would an "inhuman" history of the slave ship look like?

3.  Why does Rediker spend so much time discussing Africa?  What does this tell us about the history of slavery in America?
